Blake Lively, aged 36, and Anna Kendrick are confirmed to return for the sequel to A Simple Favor, directed by Paul Feig, who also helms the new installment.
In A Simple Favor 2, titled as such, Stephanie Smothers (played by Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (portrayed by Lively) journey to the picturesque island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman.
The sequel promises a mix of glamour and suspense, with мurder and betrayal making u𝚗expected appearances at the extravagant event.
Anna Kendrick, aged 37, expressed her excitement about reprising her role, noting that while Stephanie has grown more astute, she reмai𝚗s true to herself. Having read the script, Kendrick described it as excellent.
Additionally, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack are set to reprise their roles from the original film.
Amazon MGM Studios recently announced plans for the sequel, which will be co-produced by Lions Gate and is scheduled to commence filming in the spring. It will be available for streaming on Prime Video.
