The uncertainty surrounding Max Verstappen’s future at Red Bull persists, amid rumors linking the Dutch driver to a potential move to Mercedes. Toto Wolff has openly expressed his interest in recruiting Verstappen for the Silver Arrows once Lewis Hamilton departs for Ferrari next year. While Verstappen is under a long-term contract with Red Bull, speculation suggests a potential exit clause could come into play if Helmut Marko, a key figure at Red Bull, were to leave.

Despite Mercedes’ interest, other teams are reportedly entering the fray in pursuit of Verstappen’s signature. Aston Martin, led by team owner Lawrence Stroll, is said to be preparing a tempting offer, aiming to outbid Mercedes and secure Verstappen’s services with a more enticing package.

According to The Daily Mail, a lucrative deal has been reached between Toto Wolff and his associates, paving the way for Adidas to become the official clothing and merchandising partner of the Mercedes F1 team starting next season. 

Despite the commercial setback of losing seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari in 2025, the Silver Arrows appear to have mitigated this blow with a new multi-million-pound agreement off the racing circuit. The deal signifies a significant shift, with Adidas set to replace Puma and Tommy Hilfiger as the team’s clothing partners, marking a fresh chapter in the team’s branding and commercial partnerships.
