Previously detained by border control for attempting to smuggle apple pies for Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds now faces accusations of breaki𝚗g a revered rule at the Cannes Film Festival, all to accompany his stunning wife on the red carpet.

Describing her initial solo experience at the prestigious French Riviera event as “incredibly intimidating,” Blake shared with Vogue magazine that Ryan made the occasion “so special” when he joined her in 2014.

 Recalling the moment fondly, she recounted how Ryan defied convention, discreetly leaving his castmates to escоrt her back to the red carpet. She expressed her gratitude for the experience, remarking on the significance of being there with him.

In May 2014, Blake and Ryan graced the red carpet together for the premiere of his thriller “The Captive.” However, this year marked a full-circle moment for Blake as she attended with not one but two films of her own: “The Shallows” and “Cafe Society.”

 For the latter’s premiere, she shared the red carpet with Hollywood luminaries Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, and director Wооdy Allen.

Previously navigating the Cannes red carpet solo as a L’Oreal brand ambassador, Blake described the experience as “unique” and “incredibly intimidating.” Despite her sartorial triumphs this year while pregnant with their second child, Blake admitted that the red carpet scene reмains outside her comfort zone, likening it to a performance and expressing discomfort with the constant attention.

In a candid moment on The Graham Norton Show, Ryan revealed how he once risked a hefty fine to satisfy Blake’s love for Vancouver apple pies. 

Caught by a vigilant border guard, Ryan was prompted to serenade his way through customs with a rendition of “I Swear” from his film “Just Friends,” eventually securing passage with pie in hand.
