Blake Lively returned to the role of a bride while shooting a breathtaking wedding scene for A Simple Favor 2 in Capri, Italy, as exclusive images obtained
In the sequel, Lively’s character Emily Nelson is set to marry a wealthy Italian businessman, depicted in the captured images of the elaborate affair. A towering arc of colorful roses frames the on-screen couple as they exchange vows.
In the initial glimpses from the film set, 36-year-old Lively, who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds in real life, was seen “marrying” handsome actor Michele Morrone, 33, in a picturesque waterfront ceremony.
Lively’s wedding attire boasted a plunging neckline, floral adornments, a striking skirt, and an extensive veil trailing over the pink carpeting.
Her hair was styled into an elegant updo with white florals tucked in. Tender moments were captured as she affectionately cupped Michele’s cheek during the vow exchange.
Witnessed by attendees in tuxedos and glamorous dresses, the black-tie event featured a live orchestra, adding to the grandeur of the scene.
Anna Kendrick, portraying Stephanie Smothers, appeared to act as a bridesmaid, holding a small bouquet of white flowers while dressed in a romantic floral print gown with loose waves adorning her hair.
A Simple Favor 2 serves as the sequel to the 2018 dark comedy directed by Paul Feig, who returns to helm the next installment.
The storyline follows Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) as they travel to Capri, Italy, for Emily’s opulent wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman.
Expectations for the sequel are high, with promises of murdеr and betrayal intertwined with the lavish wedding festivities.
Kendrick expressed excitement about reprising her role, stating that while Stephanie has grown savvier, she rеmains true to herself.
Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack are all set to reprise their roles from the original feature.
The sequel, co-produced by Lions Gate and set to begin shooting this spring, will stream on Prime Video. Directed by Feig, the original film was based on Darcey Bell’s book and received positive reviews, earning nearly $100 million worldwide at the box office for Lionsgate.
Anna Kendrick and director Feig anticipate returning to the “hilarious, deeply dark” world of Stephanie Smothers, promising more stylish twists and turns in the sequel.
