To complete her all-red outfit, the actress shared on Instagram Tuesday that she had used red nail polish to paint over the white gems on her pumps.
Following her attendance at an event for her new brand of drink mixers, Betty Buzz, held at the Empire State Building in New York City on Tuesday night, the 34-year-old actress posted a selfie on her Instagram Story, showcasing her ensemble.
In the photo, Lively was dressed in head-to-toe red, featuring a Max Mara trench coat, a Chanel purse, and Manolo Blahnik heels.
In a lighthearted tone, Lively jokingly expressed remorse to the designers for her fashion choices. Initially, she playfully apologized to Max Mara for the way she had tied the trench coat, quipping, “I’m the fifth Golden Girl,” but quickly added that the coat was indeed “divine.”
She then jokingly apologized to the color pink for “cheating on my red look with this stunning @chanelofficial bag,” referring to her eye-catching striped purse.
Lively concluded her humorous apologies by expressing regret to Blahnik for “painting the white jewels on my shoes with red nail polish as I was walking out the door,” accompanied by a questioning “worth it tho?” regarding the alteration she made to her shoes.
The specific shoes in question, red satin pumps with square diamond buckles, can be purchased on the Manolo Blahnik website for $995. Interestingly, a similar blue variation of the shoe was featured in the 2008 film “Sеx and the City.”
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Lively discussed her newly launched line of non-alcоhоlic sparkling mixers and expressed her surprise at the positive reception they have received.
She mentioned, “I’ve been very proud of [Betty Buzz] and it’s been really cool and overwhelming to see people’s responses to it,” highlighting the appreciation from non-drinkers.
The Betty Buzz collection includes five varieties: Tonic Water, Sparkling Grapefruit, Meyer Lemon Club Soda, Sparkling Lemon Lime, and Ginger Bееr. These beverages can be enjoyed on their own or mixed with alcоhоlic drinks.
