Blake Lively embraced the Roaring Twenties aesthetic on the set of her latest film, paying homage to a century ago as she portrayed a 1920s gangster character. The 36-year-old actress, known for her impeccable style, turned heads while filming scenes for “A Simple Favor 2” in Rome.
Stepping off a private jet, Blake exuded old-world charm as she transformed into the upper-class character Emily Nelson. Sporting an ensemble reminiscent of Al Capone, she donned baggy black pinstriped trousers, white suspenders, and a black button-down dress shirt with rolled-up sleeves. Adding a touch of glamour, she accessorized with a bright red rose pinned to her top and a grey fedora.
In the sequel, Blake reprises her role alongside co-star Anna Kendrick, with the plot taking the characters to the picturesque island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding. The film promises mᴜrder and betrayal amidst the glamorous backdrop of the wedding festivities.
Director Paul Feig returns to helm the sequel, with Kendrick expressing excitement about the character development in the script. The star-studded cast from the original film, including Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Bashir Salahuddin, also returns for the anticipated sequel.
With production set to begin this spring, “A Simple Favor 2” is expected to stream on Prime Video, co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Lions Gate. The original film, released in 2018, garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, setting high expectations for its sequel. Director Feig teased fans with promises of more stylish twists and turns in the upcoming installment.
