The tradition of clubbing runs deep in the Lipa family, and Dua isn’t phased by it. She recounts a night out in New York City’s Lower East Side with Charli XCX when they unexpectedly encountered her parents partying at The Box. “We celebrate everything and anything, and we just love a party,” she explains. She describes how gatherings at her aunt’s house may start tame, but once the music begins, they all end up dancing, even on a typical Tuesday.

Reflecting on her song “Training Season,” written in November 2022, Dua shares that it delves into her experiences with a series of dates and long-term relationships, many of which were set up by friends. Her past romances include Anwar Hadid, brother of Bella and Gigi, and French director Romain Gavras, while more recently, she was seen vacationing in Mexico with British actor Callum Turner. “As long as everyone knows where they stand, then you’re good,” she remarks.

Regarding her approach to discussing her love life nowadays, Dua prefers to subtly hint at it through her music. She emphasizes the power of manifestation and writing down what she wants, as demonstrated in “Training Season.” “When you know your worth, you know what you want and what you don’t want,” she states, reflecting on the lessons learned during her singlehood.

Growing up, Dua began to reflect on the harrowing tales of ethnic cleansing and wаг ϲгιмеs committed against Kosovar Albanians. This prompted a significant shift in perspective for her, shaping her values and activism to this day. She draws inspiration from personal connections with those affected by wаг, advocating fiercely for causes such as LGBTQ+ rights and humanitarian efforts, such as calling for a cease-fire in Gaza. She emphasizes the importance of support and collective learning in addressing injustices and inequalities worldwide.
