Just 12 hours after dazzling on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival’s opening ceremony, Blake Lively continued her streak of glamour as she stepped out for a luncheon with her “Cafe Society” co-stars on Thursday on the French Riviera.
The actress, pregnant with her second child, stᴜnned in a gold midi dress and strappy Jimmy Choo sandals at the Nikki Beach pop-up club. This latest stylish appearance followed a series of striking outfits on the festival’s opening day.
She started off by wearing a red jumpsuit at Wednesday’s photocall, then switched to a slinky, form-fitting dress for the “Cafe Society” premiere and opening ceremony. For the gala dinner later that night, she opted for a chic black dress coat.
On Thursday, as Blake walked from her hotel to the seafront, her co-star Kristen Stewart was right behind her. The “Twilight” star went for an edgier style, pairing a leather biker jacket with a black dress and brogues.
The two actresses joined their co-stars at the pop-up near the Carlton Hotel, a branch of the famous Nikki Beach in Miami that hosts celebrities and VIPs during the festival. At the luncheon, the cast enjoyed a variety of dishes, including sushi, buffalo mozzarella tapas, crudités, tarbot, Chateaubriand steak, and a selection of French pastries and fruit for dessert.
Both Blake and Kristen star in Wооdy Allen’s upcoming film “Cafe Society,” which opened the prestigious film festival. The movie, set in the 1930s, follows a New Yorker named Bobby Dorfman (played by Jesse Eisenberg) who moves to Hollywood and falls in love with Vonnie (Kristen Stewart), his uncle’s secretary. He eventually returns to New York City and becomes immersed in the high society nightlife.
Blake plays the role of Veronica, a glamorous divorcee, among an ensemble cast that includes Steve Carell, Kelly Rohrbach, Parker Posey, Corey Stoll, and Anna Camp.
In an interview with “This Morning,” Blake discussed her views on happiness and gratitude. She shared that her upbringing instilled a sense of appreciation for what she has, crediting her mother’s humble beginnings for her perspective.
Kristen Stewart, also speaking to “This Morning,” mentioned that the film is a celebration of love in various forms. She remarked that while the relationships in the movie might not be conventional, they still reflect the unpredictable and passionate nature of love.
