Blake Lively made a casual yet nоtable appearance on the streets of New York City on Friday afternoon.
The 34-year-old actress, known for her role in Gossip Girl, unintentionally revealed more than she likely intended while wearing a sheer white top, which was so low-cut that it exposed some cleavage.
This sighting occurred just three days before she is scheduled to co-host the highly anticipated Costume Institute Met Gala alongside her husband Ryan Reynolds, as well as Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Layered over her eye-catching top, Lively sported a bоne-colored fuzzy winter coat atop a beige corduroy blazer, still allowing her daring top to peek through. She paired this with baggy plaid slacks that concealed her tanned and toned legs.
Opting for gold platform sneakers, Lively added three more inches to her 5ft10in frame. Her honey blonde hair flowed down over her shoulders, complemented by light makeup and a beaming smile. To accessorize, she wore small silver hoop earrings.
The mother of three, including daughters James (6), Inez (5), and Betty (2) with Reynolds, completed her ensemble with a confident air.
The highly anticipated Met Gala, set to take place on Monday evening at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, will see Lively and Reynolds as co-hosts, along with King and Miranda.
This year’s theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” suggests guests embrace attire reminiscent of the Gilded Age, with corset tops and lavish skirts.
Lively, a seasoned attendee of the event since her debut in 2008, has donned memorable looks from Versace, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, and Marchesa over the years.
Last month, Lively showcased her red carpet prowess at the premiere of Reynolds’ new movie, The Adam Project, in an Atelier Versace dress with a plunging neckline and pastel fabric, accented with a pink purse, silver heels, and accessories.
Her makeup artist, Kristofer Buckle, praised Lively’s unique approach to style, citing inspirations from Bridgette Bardot and Sharon Tate’s late 1960s aesthetic, featuring a “smoky chocolate eye and brown lashes paired with softer lips.”
Bardot, a French film star known for And God Created Woman (1956), and Tate, an actress and model recognized for Valley Of The Dolls, remain enduring icons.
Ryan Reynolds, consistently supportive of his wife’s influence, lauded her as a “genius” and “renaissance woman” at the WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards in November, emphasizing her role in his personal and professional growth.
