Blake Lively Seeks Retribution on Ryan Reynolds with Playful Ryan Gosling Birthday Tribute

On Monday, the actor celebrated his 41st birthday, and his wife marked the occasion with a lighthearted Instagram post. Lively posted a cropped image of Ryan Gosling and Reynolds from the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards, captioned “Happy Birthday, baby.”

This gesture from Lively comes as payback for Reynolds’ own birthday post in August, where he edited Lively out of a photo from the 2014 Met Gala, captioning it “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife.”

Reynolds seemed to take Lively’s post in stride, commenting “Great” on the picture.

Earlier that day, Reynolds shared with his Twitter followers how his birthday was unfolding, joking about his kids’ attempts to surprise him: “My kids tried to surprise me for my birthday this morning. I totally heard them coming and snuck out to start a new life somewhere else.”
