Ryan Reynolds once again demonstrated why he and Blake Lively are one of Hollywood’s most adorable couples.
The 47-year-old Deadpool star appeared on the Today show with his IF (Imaginary Friends) co-stars John Krasinski and Cailey Fleming, 17, when Hoda Kotb asked about Taylor Swift.
Hoda inquired if they had attended Swift’s Eras Tour yet.
Ryan, whose wife Blake is close to Taylor, responded, “I’m about to go to Madrid. I’m very excited. My wife and kids have been to, like, five or six shows already.”
Jenna Bush Hager quipped, “Well, they are besties,” to which Ryan replied, “They love it, yeah. They are obsessed.”
Ryan, who also discussed the nаme of his fourth child on Monday, added that this will be his first Swift concert: “I’ve been buried in a work bubble for the past year and a half. It’s been a problem, but I’ve gotten help and I’m getting out.”
The official Paramount logline for IF reads: “A young girl who goes through a difficult experience begins to see everyone’s imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real-life friends have grown up.”
Krasinski wrote and directed the film, inspired by watching his daughters interact in their bedroom when they thought no one was watching. During the pаndemic, that magical world they created together changed, giving him inspiration for the movie.
The film premiered in New York City on Monday, where Page Six teased Reynolds about getting to go home to Blake.
The Red Notice actor remarked, “She’s no slouch, that’s for sure.”
The couple, married since 2012, share daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a 1-year-old whose nаme has not yet been revealed.
Reynolds has previously mentioned struggling with mentаl health, but his family helps him stay on track. “My mission in life is to get home to be with my kids,” he told the outlet.
He reflected on working with Steve Carell on IF: “Years ago, someone said to me, ‘Oh, you’re a real Steve Carell,’ and I was like, ‘What does that meаn? I love Steve Carell. What does that meаn?’ They said, ‘Oh, he’s always just, as soon as he’s done with work, there’s no socializing. There’s a Steve-sized hole in the wall, and he’s on his way to his kids.’ That’s how I am,” he admitted happily.
At the premiere, he told E! News that IF is the first movie he and his wife have made that their young kids can see. “My kids are psyched to see it, which is so nice. You always want your kids to pay attention to what you do.”
He continued, “When they see movies being made, it’s so agonizingly slow and boring. So when they see something condensed down to an hour and 45 minutes, it’s pretty wild for them,” the outlet reported.
