Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s loving, long-time friendship – from hanging with their squad including Gigi Hadid and Haim, to the Eras songstress’ business collabs with Ryan Reynolds

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have a friendship that has stood the test of time, despite both being notoriously private about their personal lives. Their bond, which includes their famous squad members like Gigi Hadid and the Haim sisters, is rarely showcased in public, but their occasional meet-ups spark significant fan excitement.

Last weekend, the superstar friends were spotted at New York City’s private club Zero Bond, reigniting the internet’s obsession with their close relationship. Blake Lively sported a denim jacket, colorful tweed skirt, and a Chanel bag, while Taylor Swift opted for a classic black cardigan and pleated miniskirt.

According to People, Swift, 33, and Lively, 36, first connected in 2015 when Lively referenced Swift’s song “Bad Blood” in a L’Oréal campaign caption. The *Gossip Girl* star has long been a fan of Swift, even before their friendship blossomed. In an early Instagram post, Lively humorously suggested they hyphenate their last names, demonstrating her admiration for the pop star.

Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s husband, has also shown his support for Swift by attending her concerts. In a “73 Questions” interview with Vogue, Swift expressed her desire to raid Lively’s fashionable wardrobe. Their friendship reached new heights in 2015 when they hung out in Queensland, Australia, cuddling koalas and visiting Warner Bros. Movie World theme park.

Both Swift and Lively have impressive careers, with Swift’s lucrative music empire and Lively and Reynolds’ burgeoning status as Hollywood’s next billionaire power couple. Their collaborations have been fruitful, with Lively directing Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” music video. Swift praised Lively’s directorial debut, calling her “brilliant, brave, and wickedly funny.”

Reynolds has also collaborated with Swift, using her re-recorded “Love Story” for a Match.com advert through his production company Maximum Effort. He made a cameo in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video, and she promoted Reynolds’ Aviation Gin at a party.

Swift has a special bond with Lively and Reynolds’ children, featuring their daughter James’ voice in her song “Gorgeous” and naming her song “Betty” after their third child. During her Philadelphia show on The Eras Tour, Swift shared that she named characters in “Betty” after people she loves, specifically James, Inez, and Betty.

Being part of Swift’s inner circle means Lively and Reynolds have access to exclusive events and parties. They’ve celebrated the Fourth of July together, attended Swift’s 30th birthday party, and enjoyed dinners in town.

Swift’s “squad” may not be as prominently showcased as before, but it’s evident that Lively and the “Blank Space” singer maintain a tight-knit circle, including Gigi Hadid and the Haim sisters. In April, after Swift’s surprising split from Joe Alwyn, the group was seen supporting her, further cementing their enduring friendship.
