The team, captained by Argentine Néstor Lorenzo, dominated their opponents at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. The win was secured by goals from winger Luis Díaz, forward Jhon Córdoba, and midfielder Jhon Arias.

Colombia took control from the outset, applying pressure and forming effective partnerships. Arias opened the scoring in the fifth minute by intercepting a pass and launching a right-footed shot into the net. Despite adeptly navigating numerous opponents, Díaz occasionally lost possession near the goal.

Meanwhile, Bolivia struggled to distribute the ball to forwards Bruno Miranda and César Menacho, who were rarely involved in the play.

In the 25th minute, Díaz delivered a low cross to Córdoba, who, with his back to the goal, turned and shot past goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra to make it 2-0. Bolivia’s only first-half opportunity came in the 35th minute when Fernando Saucedo’s powerful shot was saved by Camilo Vargas.

The third goal came in the 42nd minute when Colombian winger Deiver Machado passed to Díaz, who capitalized on a defensive error to score.

Colombia slowed the game’s tempo in the second half, limiting Bolivia’s chances. One of the few opportunities for Bolivia came from a cross by full-back Roberto Fernández, which Diego Medina nearly converted.

In the 67th minute, a hard tackle by Bolivian defender Héctor Cuéllar on Díaz led to a confrontation between the players. Mexican referee Daniel Quintero dismissed Colombian full-back Daniel Muñoz and Bolivian attacker Menacho after the ensuing scuffle.

The final score remained 3-0, wrapping up both teams’ preparations for the Copa America. Bolivia will debut against the United States on Sunday, June 23, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, while Colombia will face Paraguay the following day at NRG Stadium in Houston.
