Spain secured their place in the Euro 2024 knockout stages with a narrow 1-0 victory over Italy. Despite the scoreline, Spain were largely dominant throughout the match.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Spain created numerous chances with Donnarumma again making a key save from Fabián Ruiz. The deadlock was finally broken in the 55th minute through an own goal from Calafiori after Williams’ dangerous cross.
