Liverpool was aware it might face competition from Real Madrid to secure Leny Yoro, but Manchester United has now emerged as a significant contender. According to the print edition of the Star (via Paisley Gates), Yoro is reportedly ‘keen’ on a move to Old Trafford after Manchester United expressed interest.

Liverpool sees Yoro as a unique talent rarely available on the market, which is why the club is actively pursuing him despite center-back not being a top priority position. The potential transfer battle with Manchester United adds a new layer of complexity to Liverpool’s plans to sign the promising defender.

PSG bids for Cherki

PSG seems intent on signing Lyon starlet Rayan Cherki. The two-footed dribbler had previously been linked to Liverpool, and he seemed a good fit, but he now seems bound for the capital.

Luis Enrique has already had a direct call with Cherki, reports Fabrizio Romano. While an opening offer has been rejected, PSG will ‘insist’ on signing him.

Lyon, for its part, is determined to include a sell-on clause. It considers this a key part of the negotiation.

Guler could come onto Liverpool radar too

Hot off that last TeamTalk story, citing reports in Brazil, it’s also claimed that the attacking unrest at Real Madrid could lead Liverpool down a different path. As well as Rodrygo, Euro 2024 star Arda Guler could be on the radar.

The Turkish youngster was already struggling for minutes, and must now fear falling way down the pecking order. Real, for its part, is believed to be open to a loan at this stage, with Real Sociedad exploring that option.
