Liverpool transfer news as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s signature continue to be a hot topic for Arne Slot this summer

Liverpool transfer target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has insisted that he won’t make a decision over his future until after Euro 2024. The Reds have stepped up their interest in the Napoli star recently as Arne Slot looks to improve his squad.

Earlier this week, it was reported that an approach was made to the Serie A club about Kvaratskhelia’s availability this summer. Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on the forward.

Caught Offside suggested that the Reds contacted Napoli to disclose their asking price for the Georgia international. Kvaratskhelia has emerged as one of Europe’s best wingers in the past two seasons, helping the Azzurri win the Scudetto in his first campaign.

Napoli finished 10th last term but Kvaratskhelia, who has a price tag of £87m, continued to stand out with 11 goals and a further nine assists. Following the disappointing season in Naples, Kvaratskhelia’s agent and father both revealed that the player wanted to leave the club.

The revelation led to Napoli releasing a statement insisting he will be going nowhere in the transfer window, but that hasn’t stopped talks over a potential exit.

Kvaratskhelia played the entirety of Georgia’s 3-1 opening group game defeat to Turkey and is set to line up against Czech Republic today. Failure to win and Jvarosnebi will be out of the tournament.

Despite talk accelerating outside of the tournament regarding his future, the 23-year-old has claimed he will come to a decision once the tournament is finished. “I’m currently only focused on the national team,” he said. “After the European Championships, I will then decide my future. I’m 100 per cent focused on helping my country and I’m not taking any notice of things that are being said.”
