According to journalist Diego Pico, Liverpool has identified an ideal target for the goalkeeper position. Giorgi Mamardashvili, who joined Valencia on an initial loan from Dinamo Tbilisi in 2021 before being signed permanently a year later, has emerged as a key candidate.

Since arriving at Mestalla, the 23-year-old has established himself as one of La Liga’s top goalkeepers. Last season, he kept 13 clean sheets and achieved a 72% save rate in 37 appearances. The Georgian goalkeeper has also showcased his qualities in the ongoing EURO tournament, playing a crucial role in helping his national team advance past the group stage.

Thanks to his impressive performances, Mamardashvili is now on the radar of several top clubs. Journalist Diego Pico reports that Liverpool has taken notice of the Georgian shot-stopper and has even moved ahead of Newcastle in the race to sign him.
