Jurgen Klopp has been enjoying his time since leaving Liverpool. The 57-year-old has now been spotted at the Majorca Championships tennis final in Palma.

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was caught by surprise when he received a special shout-out during the final of the Majorca tennis championship, which he was in attendance for on Saturday.

During the trophy presentations, he was mentioned and given a round of applause and a standing ovation. Klopp, taken aback by the attention, sheepishly took the clapping and laughed at the fact he had been pointed out. The Sky Sports cameras zoomed in on him as it happened, as you can see in the clip below.

Klopp later watched as Germany defeated Denmark at the European Championship. Kai Havertz scored a penalty and Jamal Musiala wrapped up the victory for Klopp’s national side, who will face the winner of Spain vs Georgia in the quarter-finals.

The ex-Liverpool coach now has a luxury villa in Majorca, where has been enjoying time. But Klopp and his wife Ulla have also been spotted watching Taylor Swift at Anfield and at the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Klopp also explained the decision to spend more time in his Majorcan villa. The stunning $4.3m property on the Spanish island has been renovated and turned into an environmentally friendly eco-house.

“We are getting older and the medical care here is great,” Klopp told the Willipedia podcast. “There are many German doctors and I would like to be able to understand every word, how I feel and so on, when the problems become bigger.

“I’ve dreamed of having a house in the south all my life. I like the weather, the climate, I like the people. There are lots of things I like here. And also people I already know. It’s not like I’m looking for new friends. I already have friends for life, and if some of them are here too, that’s cool.

“I don’t want to emigrate. We go on holiday here every now and then. But when I’m here, I want everything to be as I know it. That’s totally boring. But the point is that I want to get to know a different life, but not somewhere in the jungle or on the mountain.”
