Mohamed Salah debuts a bold new look for the summer, sporting a shaved head as he reports for Egypt duty

Salah stunneԀ fans by posting a photo of himself with a shaved head on Instagram just days after making his final appearance of the season.

The 31-year-old got rid of his trademark curls in a post that received over 1.7 million likes and comments from Andy Robertson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

After spending time with family members such as sister Rabab and brother Nasr, the forward’s new look has been fully revealed.

Rabab Salah shared a series of photos on her Instagram page showing Salah’s shaved head, leading fans to believe he has undergone hair transplant surgery.

Salah then joined the Egypt national team for their World Cup qualifiers against Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau.

In an update from the Egyptian FA, he was pictured speaking with manager Hossam Hassan and staff, providing another perspective on his new look.

Egypt will host Burkina Faso at the Cairo International Stadium on June 7 before traveling to Guinea-Bissau’s Estadio 24 de Setembro on June 10.

Hassan’s team currently leads their qualifying group with two wins from two, with Salah scoring the most goals in Group A with four.

Salah’s involvement with Egypt this summer may not end with those two games, as the forward is expected to join Egypt’s U23 squad for the Olympics.

However, as This Is Anfield’s David Lynch reported last year, Liverpool would be free to reject any call-up to the tournament in France, where Egypt will face the Dominican Republic (July 24), Uzbekistan (July 27), and Spain (July 30).
