Kylian Mbappé graces the cover of WSJ. Magazine’s men’s fall fashion issue, marking his debut on the cover of a major U.S. publication. The French football star is photographed by Gregory Harris and styled by Edward Bowleg III, showcasing the latest collection from Dior Men.
In his interview with WSJ. Magazine, conducted by European sports reporter Joshua Robinson, Mbappé reflects on his journey and ambitions. He shares his desire to leave a lasting legacy in soccer, stating, “I’ve always wanted people to remember my name. That was a personal ambition. I’ve always wanted to write my name in soccer history.” His exceptional dribbling, speed, and finishing skills have cemented his status as one of the world’s top soccer players.
Mbappé discusses his competitive nature, contrasting his approach with those who seek enjoyment rather than victory. “There are people who want to have fun and just enjoy things—and I respect that view,” he says. “I chose this life wanting to win and wanting to be competitive… You don’t just announce, ‘I want to win’ and sit on your couch every day. Every day, you work on it, you increase that appetite to win in everything you do.”
Acknowledging the fame that comes with his status, Mbappé comments, “The more famous you get, the more people want to know about you. They want to know which pajamas you sleep in, where you live, how you spend your time. That border is getting thinner all the time. Mine hangs by a thread. But that’s the way it is. I knew what I was getting into.”
In the shoot, Mbappé is seen in a striking black and white Dior Men ensemble, as well as a red Dior Men hoodie, capturing his dynamic presence both on and off the field.
