LeBron James is making the most of his Italian getaway with his family, recently spotted on a luxury yacht in Positano. Amid the stunning scenery of the Amalfi Coast, James was seen relaxing in the yacht’s dining area and strolling along the deck. On Wednesday, the 33-year-old NBA superstar kept it casual in a white tank top, blue shorts, sunglasses, and a vibrant fitted hat.
Positano, a hotspot for celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Jordan, and Lakers president Magic Johnson, provided the perfect backdrop for James’ vacation. Fresh off signing a landmark $154 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, James flew to Italy with his wife and three children on Monday, just after finalizing his deal with Lakers president Magic Johnson.
During his yacht excursion, James was seen gesturing towards the camera, clearly enjoying the relaxing atmosphere with his family. Meanwhile, Lakers fans are buzzing with excitement over his new contract. Social media has been abuzz with congratulatory messages, and the NBA store quickly sold out of James’ yellow and gold Nike No. 23 jersey. The store has promised a restock soon, and Cavaliers memorabilia is currently being offered at discounted prices.
James, a native of Akron, Ohio, who was drafted as the No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003, previously played for the Miami Heat before returning to the Cavaliers. He declined a $35.6 million contract option for the 2018-2019 season, opting instead to join the Lakers.
While James enjoys his Italian escape, Cleveland fans are advised to capture one last look at his 25,000-square-foot banner on Sherwin-Williams’ Cleveland headquarters, as Nike prepares to remove it this week.
