Jude Bellingham’s star power was on full display once again in Madrid, where the young England midfielder and his mother, Denise, were swarmed by fans. During a shopping outing in the Spanish capital, the 20-year-old and his mum were recognized by enthusiastic supporters of Los Blancos.
True to his composed nature, Bellingham took the attention in stride, smiling and posing for selfies while waiting to cross the street. Bellingham’s parents, Mark and Denise, have been pillars of support throughout his and his younger brother Jobe’s football journeys. Currently, the family is spread across different locations: Jobe moved to Sunderland from Birmingham this summer, while Jude made headlines with his £115 million transfer to Real Madrid after shining at Borussia Dortmund.
The couple made the tough decision to split their time, with Denise relocating to Madrid to be with Jude, while Mark stayed behind in England to support Jobe in Sunderland. Recently, Bellingham and his father enjoyed a reunion in Italy following Jude’s Golden Boy 2023 award, which honors the best young male footballer. The midfielder was celebrated for his stellar performance, including setting a new record for the most goals scored in a player’s first 15 games for Real Madrid.
On social media, some humorously speculated about the decision-making process behind the family’s relocation. Mail Sport’s Lewis Steele joked, “Must have been an intense game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who lives in Madrid and who lives in Sunderland.”
