At one of our No More Red pitches, King’s Square in Islington, Jorginho recently assisted with an Arsenal in the Community program.

Jorginho recently lent a hand to Arsenal’s community outreach, participating in the Arsenal in the Community (Holiday Activities and Food) programme at the No More Red pitch in King’s Square, Islington. The Arsenal midfielder not only took part in the coaching session but also engaged with the youngsters, making a memorable impact by selecting a standout player of the day and gifting every participant with a signed football and a special bag.

The Positive Futures programme, a long-standing partnership with Islington Council, has been enriching local communities for two decades. It provides free football sessions across six local estates weekly, creating a safe and supportive environment for young people beyond school hours. This initiative is more than just football; it offers mentorship and guidance from coaches who serve as positive role models.

Free of charge for children aged 8 to 16, the programme reaches over 500 young people each year. Throughout the summer, the programme runs engaging football courses on the estates, with sessions running from 10am to 3pm, complemented by a nutritious free lunch each day.
