Angelina Jolie is the latest cover girl for CR Fashion Book’s Fall/Winter 2024 issue. She’s swapped her long, straight, center-parted hair for a 1980s disco curl.
The mother of six is known for her rebellious, individualistic style. In the interview, Aneglina spoke about her creativity and how she embraced her version of punk. The 49-year-old actress shared: ‘If punk means not conforming, then I think that’s what I am. For me, it’s very important to resist being told how to think, dress or feel.’
The ‘Maleficent’ star said she enjoys finding new things from within and breaking boundaries. ‘Creativity is life,’ she said.
During the photo shoot, Angelina wore outfits from the fashion brand Atelier Jolie, which she founded last year.Speaking about the brand Atelier Jolie, ‘Mrs. Smith’ shared: ‘My wish is to build a space, like a home, for people to create and be inspired’. Angelina said that her creative home is a collective of artists and designers from all over the world, working together to build a community.
The actress chose to enter the fashion industry in her own way. She wanted to create designs that people felt were suitable for themselves, sustainable, and not necessarily trend-driven. She shared: ‘Over the years, I have seen fashion being dictated by trends and tastemakers. But looking within and choosing clothes that suit you to express yourself with creativity and versatility is a useful rebellion in this era.’
Also in the photo shoot, Angelina sported her usual straight hair and smoky eyes as she modeled a coat with belt and trousers from the Atelier Jolie brand.
She wore a blazer and trousers, posing with a cane from the Elsa Schiaparelli fashion house archive.
When asked if she had a favorite life motto, she said: ‘I don’t have a motto, but freedom has always been important to me, for myself and others.’
