Real Madrid make contact with Trent Alexander-Arnold as Los Blancos step up efforts to land Liverpool star on free transfer

European champions Real Madrid have reportedly already made contact with Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The England international has cemented himself as one of the top defenders in Europe and as a result, is drawing interest from Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid. According to Relevo, Los Blancos have made first contact with the 25-year-old in an effort to convince him to make the switch to Spain next summer.

Losing Alexander-Arnold – a local lad who has won it all with the club – would be a huge blow for Liverpool. Conor Bradley has emerged as a suitable replacement for right-back but it is difficult for anyone to match the levels the Merseyside star can reach when he is on form.
